About Dan Blondell
For more than fifteen years, I have worked at or with some of the country’s most trusted organizations to create large impacts on small teams with limited resources. Some of this work includes creating the inaugural Day of AI with a team at MIT; creating and sustaining the now annual Massachusetts STEM Week with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; bringing week-long project-based learning to tens of thousands of middle school children; and, for a couple of years, writing to create the voice of Central Park online. Before that, I worked at WNET (New York’s PBS station), the New York City Council, and at the Democratic National Committee during the first Obama Presidential Campaign.
What is the expertise of someone who has worn many hats for many years at startups and non-profits? To make a lot from a little, and to know what’s possible.
I have a bachelors in Philosophy from the scrappy and indomitable Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the even scrappier Writer’s Foundry at St. Joseph’s University. I’ve recently finished my second novel, which I’m working to get published just as soon as possible.
I live in Brooklyn with my talented wife Laura, my very funny daughter, and two aging cats.
